Saw the Gwen Stefani concert last Friday (November 18th), and it was just amazing. Everyone cheering out the lyrics to What You Waiting For as the entire place just shook... wow. I lost my ticket stub on the way home though. I listened to the new Madonna cd, which suki-chan kindly uploaded on another forum, but I can't get into it. Maybe no new cds for me to get into until Christmas when I get my Carrie Underwood cd.

I mainly listen to any kind of Japanese music that sounds good to me. Artists I like are: Hitoto Yo, Orange Range, WaT, KAT-TUN, Kanjani8, NEWS, Kitade Nana, Yanawaraba, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, and I'm pretty sure there are more that I cant think of at the moment I also listen to a couple of Chinese artists: Sun Yan Zi, Faye Wong, Na Ying, and Shino Lin. And the only American artists I listen to are Aly & AJ and Bif Naked... sometimes

I been obessed with the band called Dreams Come True. One song that I been listening a lot is Eternity. If you didn't know, it is the ending of the animated movie The Swan Princess. They also have a PV at the end of the movie. It's a really awesome song. Miwa sings really, really awesome in English.

I never really got on with Dreams Come True... it doesn't help that they're ALWAYS on every nostalgia or karaoke TV show as well XD Or at least their songs are. They did the end theme for an English movie though?? Or is the song just in English and the movie is Japanese? That's pretty cool if they did the theme on the English-language version. I've just recently started really getting into Amuro Namie. I sort of liked some of her songs before, but I got the "Queen of Hip-Pop" album recently and it's sooo fantastic. I still don't much like most of her ballad-ish songs (I know "Can You Celebrate?" is constantly one of the top 100 karaoke songs in Japan, but it's so BORING!) but I absolutely love her hip-hop style tracks. It makes me wanna dance every time I hear it! I'm doing a DJ set at a jpop club night in a few weeks, and I'm definitely gonna add a bunch of Amuro-chan tracks in there I've got Crystal Kay playing on my iPod right now

CAN YOU CELEBRATE? is one of my favorite singles just because I love to really put the emotion in the song and really cool to sing it. I really love her Super Monkey's songs (most fav. is Dancing Junks) and DANCE TRACKS VOL. 1 is <3. I don't really like Amuro's hip-hop because it sounds a bit boring (see CSCEIS) and it's doesn't really intrest me as much her TK stuff.

i listen to mainly korean music. a WIDE variety of it too. and also japanese artists outside of H!P as well.
i listen to everything from rock, rap, urban dance, ballad, electronica, you name it. or at least, almost everything. i refuse to listen to country and oldies.
i dislike american mainstream pop at the moment because the lyrics are so trashy. i can't stand listening to stuff like that.

Hmm~ so I guess I should post what kind of music I listen to, then. Well. My music taste is all over the board. I listen to classical, industrial, j-pop, punk, glamrock, bitpop, rock, videogame soundtracks.. ;; and more. I have a last.fm account (I have two actually, one for the music on my iBook and one for the music being played in the apartment I live in). So feel free to look at my profiles to get an idea of what kind of music I listen to. Twissie ---- HuerequequeHmm. I have to say that I haven't ventured far into the j-pop world yet, though. I'm sort of stuck in H!P land xD;;

Namie is really good! I love her newer stuff, especially "Want Me, Want Me," and "White Light." She's so talented.
I've been really into Bennie K for the last year or so. They have such a unique sound. Anyone else like them? I'm also into D-51 and Yuzu lately, too, maybe because summer is on the way!
Koda Kumi & Hikki are also favorites of mine. I love "Love Goes Like" by Koda Kumi. Her new stuff is fantastic!

I only like one of their songs, Love Story. I haven't listen to other songs. Koda Kumi & Hikki are also favorites of mine. I love "Love Goes Like" by Koda Kumi. Her new stuff is fantastic! Koda Kumi is ok, I only liked her debut single. Some of her stuff is alright but some of the stuff is o.o;. Hikari is also good. I like her new stuff (2002 and beyond).

Namie is really good! I love her newer stuff, especially "Want Me, Want Me," and "White Light." She's so talented. I looooooooove "Want Me, Want Me"! It's so awesome and upbeat. I love dancing to it I'm thinking of singing "Alarm" at karaoke soon, but the lyrics make me laugh XD I like some Koda Kumi stuff - some of her 12 singles lot were fantastic. I loved "D.D.D. feat. Soulhead", what a song! I'm thinking of cosplaying her outfit from that video I also really liked "No Regret", "Shake It Up" and "Imasugu Hoshii", even though it's dirty XD I'm a HUGE Hikki fan too - looking forward to her new album so so much because I really loved her last two singles. I even love her UTADA Western-released album, which most of my friends who like Hikki don't. I just think it was a fantastic R'n'B album with some amazing songs that really stands on its own merits, compared with her Japanese releases or not. Like twissie, my musical taste is all over the place. I go from hip-hop to metal to rap to hard rave to bubblegum pop and back again As far as Japanese artists go, I'm really into Hello! Project, of course - and then Utada Hikaru, Onitsuka Chihiro, Hinouchi Emi, DJ Sharpnel, Killingscum, Fukuyama Yoshiki, Halcali, Rip Slyme, Yamaoka Akira, Psycho le Cemu, Crystal Kay, GLAY, Janne da Arc, Yonekura Chihiro, /\ucifer, MISIA, Miyavi, Sonin, Plastic Tree, SweetS, Rie fu, Merzbow... masses of stuff. I'm also very into classic and oldies jpop like Pink Lady, Candies and Onyanko Club, back to some really old artists like Miyagi Mariko, The Peanuts and Misora Hibari. I like some Chinese artists too (Faye Wong, Shino Lin, Rainie Yang, Kelly Chen) and some Korean (Lee Jung Hyun, Park Hwa Yo Bi). In Western music I don't so much like the pop side of things - I'm into digital hardcore like Atari Teenage Riot, Alec Empire, Hanin Elias, through to out-and-out noize like Nic Endo. I also love the female-led metal band Otep. I've also got a love for female folk-ish vocalists like Tanya Donelly, and Ani DiFranco, which goes into actual folk like Mazzy Star, Hope Sandoval and Rod MacDonald. Then I like some EBM, synth and "goth" music like VNV Nation, Covenant, Gary Numan, Mesh, and Apoptygma Berserk. Some hip-hop too... Jurassic 5... Ah, I should have just left it at "my musical taste is all over the place" XD *stops rambling on*
